Doc 05Review procedure

One standard for everything we publish.

Every report Axis delivers and every guide on this site is produced under the standard set out here — researched from the primary record and released only under a senior human’s sign-off. Here is how that works, and what to do if we still get something wrong.

01 ·Why this page exists

One standard, nothing exempt.

Property opinions are cheap. Showing how one was formed is not. This page exists so that anyone reading Axis work — a client, a partner, a council officer, a sceptical stranger — can see exactly how it was put together and who signed it off before it reached them.

Every published report and guide follows one standard: this one. Nothing is exempt — not the A$49.95 Quick Scan, and not a free guide on this site. If a claim cannot meet the standard, it runs as a labelled assumption or it does not run at all.

02 ·How reports are researched

Primary records first.

Research starts with the asset, not with commentary about it. For the subject property we read the primary record where one exists: the title and zoning, together with the overlays and planning controls that sit on the land. Council planning registers and decision histories matter just as much — they show how a council has actually ruled on comparable applications, which is worth more than any statement of intent. Commercial listing and transaction data anchors what the market around the asset is doing. And where a deal involves a counterparty, we verify the company footprint behind the name before anything attached to it enters the analysis.

R.01

Title & planning controls

The subject property’s title, zoning, overlays and planning controls, read from the source record.

R.02

Council registers & decisions

Planning registers and decision histories: how the council has actually ruled, not how it says it will.

R.03

Listings & transactions

Commercial listing and transaction data around the asset, so market claims are anchored to evidence.

R.04

Counterparty footprints

Verification of the company footprint behind any counterparty before their material enters the analysis.

Every case then moves through the Axis Score System — nine deal archetypes, five weighted dimensions and five gate checks — so that two different properties are examined with the same discipline. The system’s names are public. Its internals are not.

03 ·Evidence grading

Every claim carries its grade.

Every material claim in an Axis report carries a confidence grade, from A down to C, and the grade sits beside the claim it supports. It answers one question — how strong is the evidence behind this statement? It is not a prediction, and it is not a verdict on the deal.

Anything we cannot source is stated as an assumption and labelled as one. It is never asserted as fact. That line is absolute.

Fig. 05-C · How confidence grades appear beside individual claims in an Axis report

The grading rubric itself is part of the Axis Score System and stays internal; a published threshold is a gameable threshold. What you will always see is the grade. And if you want to know what sits behind a specific one, ask.

04 ·AI-assisted, human-decided

AI drafts. A senior human decides.

We use AI and we say so. Software assembles the records and produces a structured draft — quickly, and the same way every time. It decides nothing.

SYS.01

What the system does

Compiles the source material and drafts the analysis under the Score System structure. Fast and consistent — and unaccountable, which is why it never has the last word.

SIG.01

What the senior reviewer does

Checks the evidence against its sources and edits the drafting. Applies the judgement software does not have. Then signs off — or sends it back.

Raw AI output is never released Not in a client report. Not in a published guide.

Every report is reviewed and signed off by a senior human before it is delivered. Every guide gets the same treatment before it is published. No sign-off, no release.

05 ·Independence

Paid by our client, and by no one across the table.

Axis is engaged and paid by its client, and by no one on the other side of that client’s deal. We take no commissions from vendors, agents, builders or funders. None. And where a matter turns on regulated financial advice, we refer it to licensed partners rather than give it ourselves — Axis does not lend and does not broker finance.

Our decision reports are fixed-price, so the fee does not move with the answer: a report that says do not proceed costs what a report that says proceed costs. Where a client later engages Axis to manage delivery, that is a separate engagement on its own terms, and we say so plainly at the time.

The fee does not move with the answer.

06 ·Published guides

Question-led, evidence-first.

Guides published on this site start from a question owners actually ask, not from a keyword tool. They are evidence-first: the claims inside them follow the same grading discipline as client reports.

Each guide carries a Published date and a Last-updated date, and states its limitations — what it covers, and what it deliberately leaves to a professional on the ground. When the facts move, the guide is updated and re-dated rather than left to age quietly.

07 ·Corrections

Found an error? Tell us.

Errors happen. Hiding them is the failure. If anything we have published is wrong — a fact or a figure, however small — email team@axisplatform.au with the page and the claim.

We check it against the source. If we got it wrong, we correct the page and re-date it. If we stand by the claim, we reply and explain why.

Corrections are part of the standard, not an exception to it. Every correction re-dates the page it touches.
